Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) State of Indiana) will determine the individual’s eligibility. The individual qualifies for our VR services if: w The individual has a physical or mental impairment w The impairment creates or causes a substantial impediment to employment w The individual require services to prepare for, obtain or retain employment HOW TO GET STARTED? Pathfinder Resource Connection can help the individual apply to Vocational Rehabilitation Services for an assessment. A VRS counselor will interview individual and assess the specific disability and its impact on employability. If the individual and the VRS counselor agree, the counselor will refer you back to Resource Connection for our services. Pathfinder Resource Connection can help in the VRS application process. Pathfinder Resource Connection is an employment service that specializes in matching an individual’s abilities and interests to specific jobs and then provides ongoing support for the employer and the employees to ensure continued work quality. Our Vocational Rehabilitation services assist adults with disabilities in finding jobs in the community. SERVICES PROVIDED Pathfinder Resource Connection carefully screens potential employees and matches them with available jobs through the following services: Skills Evaluation: Pathfinder Resource Connection will assess client’s interest and current job skills for placement in training or development. Person Centered Profiling Identifies: w Strengths, skills, abilities, and weaknesses of the individual w Likes and dislikes to match the individual to an appropriate job w Personal and work history Skills Assessment: w Screens the individual for skills w Ensures individual is trained and prepared for job w Ensures individual has proof of performance before hired by employer
