Resource Connection provides specialized on-site training to assist the employee with a disability in learning and performing the job and adjusting to the work environment. This is provided via Vocational Rehabilitation Services. This training can include development job aids to help a person do a task. The length of this on-the-job training is provided over an extended period of time, (usually 2 to 6 months).

Resource Connection has a unique form of skills assessment that is very specific to jobs that need to be filled. This service is offered through Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

A Community Based Assessment is really a job trial. This takes place when the employer allows the applicant to try the job for a period of up to one week before making a hiring decision. This gives the employer the opportunity to assess the applicant's potential and find out how interested and motivated the applicant is in the job. It also gives the applicant the opportunity to experience the job and its environment and decide if it is the right job.
